This creative design by Hiroyuki Miyake san of Japan features a measuring tape that doubles up as a calendar.
Each side of the measuring tape has 6 months, and each day will coincide with a 1cm increment. So if the length is 59cm, it will coincide with 28th Feb or 59 days into the current year. The measuring tape is also supplied in various colors and is ready for year 2012.

What is the length of each tape and what is the material used?
Each side is 6 months, so we estimated it should be about 6 x 30 or 1.8 meters.
